We are reeply grateful to the Superintendent and Members of. the Board of Education for what they have done and= are) doing to make our school ‘bigger and better. We are.fully, aware of all the improvements which are be- nig made and we intend to utilize them to the fullest éxtent. We can ; boast of many things that have heen added in order to make our {instruction more pleasing and ‘profitable. Great improvements have been made in the library, Home Economics Department, Manual Training Department and the general teaching staff in both the elementary and senior high school departments. We can now boast of one of the finest libraries that can be found im any high school. There’ are |books, dictionaries, periodicals, magazines and newspapers and miscellaneous information in the library to capture the interest of and through the twelfth grades. We have a very intelligent and co- operative librarian who is never]. too busy to help us. The Home Economics Depart- student from the first ment is making splendid progress under the direction of a well trained woman. Both young men. and women are permitted to take courses in home making All per- sons attending these classes have found them to be very profitable. Through this~department ‘school lunches are very low cost; thus giving stu- dents enrolled in this ‘depart-] (sa j ment an opportunity to secure practical @xperience in the pre- paring and serving of meals. Every student is proud of the Manual Training Department. All j those who have attained the age served daily at a and standards that qualify one’ for shop work, are taking~ ad- vantage of the opportunities that are offered there. Boys and girls are attending classes in this de- partment and they are striving to jlearn all that they can. We have a great staff of teach- ers headed by a wonderful princ# | pal. They were trained in some of the outstanding schools of the country. Quite a few of them hold M. A. degrees from northern universities; however, I wish to say that we don’t admire them for their special achievements alone, but we appreciate them for thé |interest tnat they take in, the ; welfare of the students.
