AUGUST 15, 1949 School Budget Of $777,772.83 OKed By State The new school budget adopted by the School Board some time age arrived in Key West today from the State Education Depart- ment marked approved. Horace O'Bryant, county school superintendent, says the budget calls for an expenditure of $777,- 772.83. The budget does not call for any increase in taxes. The schools will take 11.5 mills of the county tax collections. “I am informed that was the first time in history for the bud- get to come from Tallahassee with the stamp of approval on it,” said O'’Bryant. “Always before the budget has had to be sent back to Tallahassee with corrections.” The WEATHERMAN Says: cloudy and continued mild thru Tuesday.
