Cecil C. Adell, USN, commanding officer of Key West’ Naval Base, announced yesterday that the Navy would take over the 210 housing units in Poinciana Place January 1. Although the Navy did not announce this, it is reported that | approximately 42 families will have to vacate their premises in! Poinciana Place to make room for Navy personnel. The Navy is moving its special weapons school here from New: London, Conn., shortly, and there will be quite a number of officers i and men coming to Key West at that time.
