; RE I oe Taxpayers Association To Meet In Orlando ORLANDO, March 20 (FNS).—|come the bride of Herman Brad- Gus W. Lawton, president of the Florida Taxpayers Association, announced this week that the annual meeting of the organiza- tion will be held at the San Juan Hotel in Orlando, Monday, March 24. The Association, made up of prominent business executives and individuals from all sections of the state, will meet to consider the first real taxpayers’ program ever prepared for presentation to the legislature. Following the usual reports of committees, the group will be ad- dressed by Hale T. Shenefield, well*known tax consultant, whose subject will be a report on the special tax research conducted by the organization during the past ear and upon which the pro- posed tax program will largely be based. Other outstanding speakers scheduled to address the meeting are the Hon. Clarence M. Gay, State Comptroller; Hon, Jim Burden, Tax Assessor of Orange County; Hon. I. W. Jump Training Completed By Key West Boy (Special to The Citizen) WITH THE EIGHTH ARMY IN HONSHU, Japan (Delayed).— Private William Brandt, Key West, Florida, and now serving with the 457th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion in the 11th Airborne Division Artillery, lo- cated near the city of Yamagata, on the island of Northern Hon- shu, Japan, recently completed jump training at the 11 Airborne Division Training Center, and has earned the right to wear the coveted wings and boots that are the well known marks of the paratroopers. The school, located at Yamo- to, near Sendai, Japan, conducts a two week course consisting of one week of rugged physical conditioning, parachute landing falls, suspended harness drills, in which the student learns to con- trol the chute, jumps from a mock tower, and mock door training.
