He had come to Key West from his sponging boat, which he had left at Ramrod Key, and was sit- ting at Division and Grinnell streets, waiting for a bus to take him to Ramrod, when he slumped over and died of a heart attack. His home was at 801 Catherine street. Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Pritchard Funeral Home, have not been completed. The deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ellis Russell; sons, John and: William Sawyer of. Board To Open Tenders Retiring $35,000 Of Bonds Tenders will be opened if any are received, for the purchase of more than $35,000 of outstanding bonds next Thursday night at a meeting of the Monroe County Board of Public Instruction. The tenders, if any, would be received from the present hold- ers of the $220,000 of outstand- ing 4 percent refunding bonds is- sued by the special tax school district No. 1, A total of $75,000 of the bonds was redeemed a year ago by the schdol board. In the event there are no tend- ers from the bonholders the school board will act to draw the $35,000 of such bonds to be re- tired this year.
