At a meeting held Wednesday night, it was decided to give the Pi- rates until Saturday to make up their minds whether they wanted to come back into the league. At press time today, officials had not heard from Manager Peru- | cho Sanchez of the Pirates, they said. President Roy Hamlin announ- ced that the league will continue with the Red Raiders, Blue Sox, and the Trojans with each team | playing a doubleheader each Sunday. Hamlin explained that the Pirates, who had been invit- ed through the newspapers, to at- tend the Wednesday night meet- 'ing. did not send a representa- | tive to the meeting giving indi- | eations that they did not want to play in the league.
