A, Williams In a candlelight ceremony this ‘jafternoon, Miss. Mary Maxine Crites and Lt. Edward Albert Williams were united in marriage at the First Methodist Church. ‘Rev. G. Leon Wells performed the’ ceremony, Miss Crites is the daughter of Wilbur K. Crites and the late ‘Mrs. Crites, of Lima, Ohio, Lt. Williams 1s the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert G. Willi - onado, Calif. a oe While ‘Miss Elaine Kalamares at Miami sang “Always” .and “Because” to the accompaniment with white candles. Escorted by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of im- ported Swiss organdy with bands of embroidery forming the pitted bodice and short sleeves and out- lining the sweetheart neck-line. The boufant skirt was banded with several rows of the same embroidery and extended to a full train. Mittens of matching organdy banded with the em- broidery were worn during the ceremony. Her fingertip veil was! of tulle and her bouquet was of | white chrysanthemums, centered with a white orchid. Her late mother’s engagement ring com-| pleted her. apparel. j Miss Nancy L. Blauvelt was maid of honor, dressed in dusty rose taffeta similar to the bride’s gown, and wearing a tiera of} yellow chrysanthemums and car- | rying a matching bouquet. A. -G. Williams, father of the bridegroom, was best man, and Lt. jg) Horace M. Sherwood, Jr., and Lt, Thomas F. Smith, USN, acted as ushers. A reception at the Fort Taylor Officers’ Club for 75 guests fol- lowed the ceremony. Mrs. Wil- liams received the guests dressed in a perriwinkle blue dress and hat. She wore a corsage of Amer- ican Beauty red roses. The newlyweds left by plane for Nassau, Bahama Islands. The bride’s going away costurie was a dove grey crepe dress with a white feather hat and navy blue accessories.
