And,. experts de- clared, fair weather has been traditionally considered Repub-} lican weather. Republican leaders continued to assert that the- election will | give them a majority in the House, but Democratic leaders maintained that the House will still have a Democratic majority when it convenes next January | to begin the eightieth congress. ; Some Republicans stated they j{ will cut down the senate major- ity to a minimum, and a few de- clared that the senate, in the next congress, will stand 48 to 48.
