The Judge of the Court of Record in and for Escambia County and the County Solicitor of said County shall hereafter be elected by the qualified electors of said county as other state and county officials are elected. The first election of the Judge of the Court of Record in and for Escambia County and of the County Solicitor of said county. shall be held at the General Election in 1948, to take office the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January. 1949. for ajterm of four years.
