The license tax provided for in this ordinance shall be imposed on and after! April 1, 1946. Section 5. It shall be unlaw- ful for any owner or keeper of any dog to permit said dog to run at large off the property of the owner or keeper thereof within the city limits of Key West, unless licensed and muz- zled and/or vaccinated. Section 7. If the owner of any dog shail elect to muzzle said dog, he shall use a proper muz- zle, completely covering the mouth and nose of said dog in such a manner as to prevent said dog from biting or licking any object. Section 8. No female dog in heat shall be allowed to run at large, but be kept securely on the owner's premises until such season is over Section 9. If a dog is suspeet~ ed of having rabies, or has been bitten by a dog suspected of hav- ing rabies, such dog shall be confined by a chain-on the own er’s premises and the Humane Society or licensed veterinarian notified at once.
