Riploy, postmaster at the Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan in which she states that the electric clocks in the post- office building there were transferr:d from Key West Postoffice, It seems that at that time the fluctuating current here played havoc with electric clocks and the time was nover right so the spring wound clocks were requi tioned. The electric clocks which were here then were put on th) surplus property list and later sent to the Sainte Marie postoffice.
