Woman Fined For Reckless Driving THREE OTHER CASES DISPOS- ED OF IN CRIMINAL COURT TODAY Mrs. Ethel Smith wa last night by Chief Sheriff Moreno Wallace charge of reckless driving. He said he first saw her on Angela, near Duval street, weav- ing from one side of the street to the other in her car, and that he followed her up White- head street to Olivia, where he stopped the car and arrested her. She was fined $25 and costs by Judge Thomas S. Caro in crim- inal court this morning. The fine was paid. Pleas of guilty were received by Judge Caro in the following other cases. Virgil Mix, for not having a Florida license plate on his automobile, $10 and costs of 30 days in jail; Patrick M. Parrish arrested Deputy ona and Sarah Mitchell, vagrancy; ) and costs in each case. Daily. een Easter Curls for Little Girls Zé BERG (By Associated Press) NUERNBERG, April 9.—Rob- ert Jackson, representating the United States in the trial here of Nazis charged with having been war criminals, protested today against the mimeograph- ing by lawyers for the defend- ants of testimony given by them, on the ground that the copies were being used as propaganda to drum up sympathy for Nazi- ism. Besides, he asserted, much of the testimony that. has been re- produced is being used in a cam- paign against Jews. Anti-Semitic stories, evolved by the Nazis, are being given to the world, Jack- son charged, for no other reason than to stir up sentiment against Jews. He characterized the proceed- ing of mimeographing as “rub- bish”, and called on the court to put a stop to it. The matter was still under consideration when the court adjourned till tomor- row. Bitting, president of the United States Sugar Corp., as he disclosed some sions which have been granted in order to procure for the United States 3,630,000 tons of the estimated raw sugar in crop.
