Clanton says his home is in Fort Myers. and he has been given the privilege of returning there, but it seems he would rather be in jail in Key West than free in Fort Myers. Albury of the Criminal Court sentenced him to serve six months in jail, but told him that the sentence would be suspended or deferred if he left town. A few days ago Clanton told Sheriff Sawyer that he, Clenton.,would leave Key West were he released from jeil, and he showed the sher- iff sufficient money with which to pay for the trip. He was set at libertv and start- ed toward the bus station, but chenged his course when he reached Duval street. Last night Devuty Knight found Clanton atp-dancing in a saloon and took him back to jail egain, where he will serve the remainder of his six months’ sentence.
