If any child shall be found upon the streets, alleys, highways, and parks of the City of Key West, in vio- lation of this provision of this ordinance or ordinances, he or she shall be taken into custody of the police and returned to his or her home, his or her parents or the person having the custody of the said child shall be summoned and required to come to the police court and explain the cause of the .child’s appearance on the streets, but no such child shall be con- fined or detained in the City Jail, or any part thereof, and in every case of such violation the parents of such child, or the person or persons having the custody of the child, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed One Hundred Dollars, or the imprisonment not to exceed Thirty Days, or both.
