They have taken a place at Long Key for a month and plan to return to Key West soon. A LARGE NUMBER of the guests last night witnessed movies shown in the ballroom by J. L. Kempthorne of Montclair, N. J. One reel was taken in Mexico when Mr. and Mrs. Kempthorne visited there re- cently. The others were ken at the New York World’s Fair and showed the visit of the King and Queen of Great Britain at Grover Whalen’s extravaganza. All of the pictures were in color and were very beautiful and were enjoyed by a large audi- ence. THE REGULAR SUNDAY PUTTING CONTEST was held yesterday afternoon on the Casa Marina green. Henry Gross, of Chicago, carried off top honors among the men with a one over par score of 37 for the 18 hole route. YESTERDAY WAS A GRAND , DAY for the fishermen that went out from the Casa Marina dock. Over seventy fish were brought in by the four boats that went out. MERVYN DAVIS, CLAIR, N. J., and R. N. Trane, of La Crosse, Wisc., fished with Captain Begley Filer and their | catch totaled 24 fish. They brought in the largest amberjack to date, a fifty pounder, and one other smaller jack, five grouper weighing from 20 to 31 pounds, five dolphin, nine bonita and three mackerel. They also saw three sails and had one hooked but lost him. Davis was the un- fortunate angler and it was a tough break as they had the fish right up alongside the boat ready to pull him in and he snapped the leader. MR. AND MRS. CHACE H. TATNALL, of Philadelphia, and Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Baird, Jr., also of Philadelphia, fished from the “Legion” with Jakie Key They brought in six bonita, t two mackerel, two dolphin and one barracuda. BILL WICKER, skipper of the “Pilot I”, took out S. B. Chapin, Greenwich, Conn., and Casimer DeRham, of New York. They had a nice catch of eight barra- cuda, seven mack , three dol- phin and one kingfish. They al- so spotted seven sails, but could not hook one.
