Chicago Couple Married Here Yesterday By Peace Justice} The marriage of Marie Renaldo and Bob Borell, both of Chicago, Ill. took place in Key West yes- terday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with Justice of the Peace Frank- lin Arenberg, officiating. The wedding took place,in the artis- tic garden of Mrs. Margaret Long, the couple having chosen Key West for the event because of its unique beauty and roman- tic atmosphere. The bride was a striking pic- ture, dressed in white wool crepe trimmed in powder blue with a corsage of tea roses and blue larkspur at her throat. A pale blue poke bonnet made a lovely frame for her happy face. She was attended by Mrs. Emelie Wirth as matron of honor, who wore a pink sharkskin suit with a corsage of carnations and Historical Pageant Tonight white’ larkspur. Ray Borden, a close friend of the couple was best man. Jimmy Thomas sang “I Love! Adverse weather pre- vented many persons from seeing the performances of February 22- 23, when the pageant was pre- sented as a feature of Key West’s annual La Semnaa Alegre (The Week of Joy). Tonight’s presentation will be new and different in that it will incorporate the program of the highly successful “Night In Ha- vana”, which includes the Latin rhythms of Cuba, Spain, Mexico and the Argentine. Acclaimed the outstanding cabaret of the season, the combination of the “Night In Havana” with the his- torical pageant brings. together tonight the largest and most tal- ented group of entertainers ever assembled in Key West. Four centuries of. Key West history will be described. by a !narrator, and. romantic highlights will be enacted by the brilliantly costumed cast and choruses,. ac- vivid picture of the past and | present of the Island City, the pageant depicts savage ‘Indian massacres and dances, pirates, wreckers, Cuban immigrants, in- dustrial development, completion jof the Overseas Railroad, Oyer- |seas Highway, and Key West's rehabilitation as a popular re- sort. There will be many excellent vocal and dance solos, Spanjsh folk dances, Cuban rhumbas, Ar- gentine boleros, and other special- | ties. Perry Chapter, der-of DeMolay, will celebrate its 16th Anniversary with a banquet to be given in the patio of the Alibi Restaurant tonight at 8 o'clock. The Chapter was organized on April 7, 1922, but did not receive its charter until March 7, 1923. From then until now the Chapter has made wonderful progress and many outstanding citizens in the community were members during the 16 years thaf the Chap- ter has been in existence. Guest speakers for the occasion will be Dad H. O’Bryant, new chairman of the Advisory Coun- cil; Dad F. O. Weech, the retir- ing chairman, and Dads Weing traul fifid: Catiils.
