L.) + A most delightful occasion was the reception and tea held yes- terday by the Woman’s Club in honor of Key West’s winter visi- ? tors at the.Public Library. ‘This # was the first time that the recep- ; tion, which is an annual _ event, Swas held at the library and the Spacious rooms with its many fibral decorations made a fitting ‘background. “Guests on~ arrival. were re- Geived by the president, Mrs. J. q: Trevor, assisted by Mrs. Stephen Douglass, vice president, and Miss Nellie Louise Russell, president of Junior Woman's Club, and Mrs. O. S. Long, spon- gor for the Junior Club. Ap- proximately a hundred members and guests were present. The table, laid in the south corridor, was beautiful with lace claete, candles, silver tea service “and centerpiece of flowers. From 4*to 5 Mrs. G. N. Goshorn and Mrs. Ben Trevor poured and from Sto6 Mrs. W. R. Warren and Mrs. W. R. Porter presided at theurns. Members of the Junior “Woman's Club served the dainties ith the Hospitality Committee proyided in abundance. Mrs. Haydn Illingworth, chair- man of the Fine Arts Department presented a fine program and many of the guests expressed a keen appreciation of the musical treat. All numbers received hearty encores. The orchestra, under the direc- tion of Alfredo Barroso, was placed in the north corridor and provided part of the afternoon’s entertainment.
