SAINT PETER'S CHURCH (Colored) Sunday, ' PLYMOUTH CAR SALES SHOWING GREAT INCREASE PRODUCTION FOR ONE WEEK SHOWN TO SET NEW HIGH RECORD; BETTER BUSINESS PREDICTED YET DETROIT, Mich. July 1.— Both retail sales of Plymouth cars to consumers and shipments from the factory to dealers reached a new all-time high during the week ending June 10, according to a statement made here today by Henry G. Moock, general sales manager of Plymouth Motor Cor- poration. “Record sales to consumers of 6,291 cars in one week makes the ninth consecutive weekly increase in Plymouth deliveries. This volume is 89.7 percent greater than the corresponding week a year ago,” said Mr. Moock. “Production last week was step- ped up to 8,561 cars, which marks a new high for the Plymouth fac- tory. At the same time, our rate of turn-over of cars in dealers’ stocks since the introduetion of the two new Plymouths has established another record, which has ‘only been equaled during one week in Plymouth’s entire history. i ‘ “Evidence that these record- breaking sales may be expected to continue at a high rate right through the summer lies in the marked increase of sales to indus- trial workers. “The rapid expansion of em- MONDAY SPECIALS —At—— D.
