The presidential flotilla passed Daytona Beach this morning and slowed down after receiving reports of shallow waters ahead. It had been planned to take on water at Daytona Beach but the schedule was changed and a stop was ar- ranged at New Smyrna. The party hoped to reach Melbourne tonight but ex- perienced yachtsmen said it ‘was more probable . that Cocoa would be the ‘night’s stopping place.
