WRENS, Georgia, Dec. 24. —Midshipman J. A. Smith of the United States Naval Academy, killed and five other cadets were jured, some critically, on an auto-train collision here to- day. The party was en route to Albany, Georgia, Smith’s home for the Christmas holi- days. The exact details in con- nection with the accident whereby one life was lost was in- with others injured were not given at the time. An investigation will be made to determine as near as possible what was the actual cause of the acci- dent. COLONEL HOOKER DROPPED DEAD IN SHANGHAI TODAY REGIMENT U. S. Ford for a donation of $25 received from the men at the army barracks and others in connection with a turkey shoot held recently.
