PROMISED IN SERVICE BETWEEN WEST AND GEORGIA AND FLORIDA “POINTS (By Associated rress) ATLANTA; June 25.—Faster handling of first class mail be- tween the west and Georgia and Florida points with advance in the time of arrival here today. . From three hours and fifty minutes to fifteen hours and thirty minutes will be gained through the establishment of postal service between Cincinnati and Jackson- ville over southern railway trains number 1 and 2, the “Ponce de Leen.” Number one, leaving Cincin- nativat 6:45 p. m. will make con- nection with Chicazo trains bear- ing Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. The train reaches At- lanta at 8:18 a. m., three hours énd thirty minutes eorlier then such mail has previously reached here. Such mail reaches Miami fifteen hours and thirty minutes earlier than onder the old schedule. The change was authorized by the postal department upon the nouncement by the Southern ilway that the train would be maintained the year round instead of only during the winter months. NEGRO IS HANGED IN MOBILE TODAY (Rr Amsnciated Plens) MOBILE, June 25.—Campbell Starks, 29, negro, was hanged in the county jail here today for the murder of Police Officer_Chris Dean. Starks took ten minutes to die after the drop. He walked to the scaffold supported by two deputies.
