PAGE EIGHT SHERIFF'S FORCE MAKES CAPTURE ~OF MUCH LIQUOR FOUR DEMIJOHNS ARE TAK- EN IN BY OFFICERS IN RAID MADE ON MOONSHINE DISTILLERY. While hot on the trail of a moonshine distillery this morning Sheriff Roland Curry and his dep- uties captured four demijohns of moonshine whiskey, three sacks of brown sugar and two barrels of molasses on the first floor of the two-story residence at $26 Cath- erine street. A man giving his name as Fran- cisco Fuentes, who was found in charge of the premises, was tak- en into custody and made bond for his appearance in court. A guard was placed over the stuff stized by the officers until same can be conveyed to the court house for safe keeping . 4 Sheriff Curry was assisted in this raid by Chief Deputy McInnis end Herman Albury. They had grounds for suspicion that an illi- tit distillery was in operation somewhere in the section -of the city visited, but failed to locate the .outfit this morning, though they are confident that the stuff seized was material for making more moonshine. The still, they believe, is or has been running in or near the building where the seizure was made, and continued efforts will be made to locate iti ‘The man arrested would make tio Statement except to say that he.wanted to make bond and then 0 on a trip to Tampa before the ary trial.
