Grand Rapids, Minnesota, November 25th, 1913, Pursuant to adjournment the Board of County Commissioners of Itasca County, Minnesota, met at the Court House in the Village of Grand Rapids, Minn,, this 2th day of November, 1913, at 10 o’clock a.m. Members present; Commissioners Pas- sard, Nelson and O’Brien. In the absence of Chairman Vice-Chairman Passard presided. A petition was presented for the es- tablishment of a highway beginning at the Southeast Corner Township 56, Range 27, and running fthence Nofgh to the Northeast Corner, of Section 34; thence West on Section line to the North Quarter Post of said Section 34. Commissioner Nelson moved that a hearing be had upon said petition at the Court House in the Village of Grand ‘Rapids on Tuesday the 6th day of! January, 1914, at 10 o’clock a, m.; that Commissioners Passard, O’Brien and Nelson be a committee to examine the route of said road; that said committee meet at the point of beginning of said route on Friday the 2nd day of Janu- ary, 1914, at 10 o’clock a. m., for the purpose of examining said route, and that said committee make report to this Board at he time set for fearing upon said petition. } The motion was seconded by Com- missioner O'Brien and carried by unani- mous vote of all members present. A petition was presented for the establishment of a highway beginning at} the point of intersection of the Itasca County line, on the South side of Sec- tion 36, Township 53, Range 22, and a line parallel with and distant 67 feet from the North side of the Great Northern Right of Way, in said ce 36, Township 53, Range 22;, thence run- | ning in a Northwesterly course parallel with and distant 67 feet from the Right of Way of the Great Northern Railway, | distance of about 2000 feet; thence in a Southwesterlydirection 34 feet to a woint 33 feet distant from said North side of said Great Northern Right of Way; thence continuing in a Northwest- \ erly direction parallel to and distant | 33 feet from said Right of Way through Sections 35, 26, 27, 28, 21 and 20 to the line between Sections 17 and 20, Town. ship 63, Range 22, and there to be point of intersection with the Section eonnected with an established highway known and designated as County Road No. 62, running in a Northwesterly direction to Swan River and Warba. Commissioner O’Brien moved that a| hearing be had upon said petition at the Court House in the Village of Grand Rapids on Tuesday the 6th day of January, 1914, at 10 o’elock a. m.; that Commissioners Passard, Nelson and O'Brien be a committee to examine ‘the route of said road; that said com- mittee meet at the point of beginning of | aid route on Saturday the 3rd day of January, 1914, at 10 o'clock a. m,, for the purpose of examining said route; and that said committee m&ke report to ‘this Board at the time set for hearing | upon said petition. Peter~ son of Coleraine, Minn,, in regard to a Detention Hospital was read. Commissioner O’Brien moved: that the matter be referred to a committee consisting , of Commissioners Shellman and Nelson. The said committee to confer with the Town Board of Iron Range, Greenway and Nashwauk, rela- tive to said matter. The motion was seconded by Com- 00| missioner Nelson and carried by un- animous vote of all members present. Commissioner Nelson moved that the time for the completion of County Roag} No, 128, under the Henry Volke Con-{ tract, be extended to June Ist, 1914, The motion was seconded by Com- missioner O’Brien and carried by un- animous vote, of all members present. Mr. O. L. Sherman was present and requested that damages be allowed him on account of the construction of \County Road No. 79 across his land in Section 36, Township 5, Range 24, The matter was referred to the County At- torney for opinion as to the legal status of the matter. Upon motion of Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner O’Brien the minutes of the meetings of October 10th, 16th and 28th, and November 11th were approved by unanimous vote of all members present. Commissioner O’Brien moved that a committee be appointed to examine the work done under the J. A. Van Patter frontract upon Road No, 113, and that; the Engineer be requested to make an inspection of said work. The motion was seconded by Com-' missioner Nelson and carried by unani- mous vote of all members present. ‘Commissioners Shellman, O’Brien and Nelson were appointed as such com, mittee.
