Minutes of the meeting held October 14, 1912. ‘A regular meeting of the village coun- cil of the village of Grand Rapids, Itasc county, Minnesota, was held this 14th day of October, 1912, in the recorder’s office, village hall, at 8 o'clock, p. m. RESOLVED, that there be levied against the taxable property of the village of Grand Rapids for the year, 1912, the following sums and for the fol- lowing respective purposes: The sum of $11,284.00 for general corporation purposes; sai@ sum so levied to be known as a General Corporation tax; the sum of $1060.00 for the purpose of paying interest on the outstanding fund. ing bonds for the village, said sum so levied to be known as Funding Bond In- terest tax; the sum of $1330.00 for the purpose of paying interest on outstand- ing water works bonds, said sum so levied to be known as Water Works In- terest tax; the sum of $1250.00 for the purpose of paying interest on outstand- ing Electric Light bonds, said sum so levied to be known as Electric Light bonds interest; the sum of $1500.00 for the purpose of paying and retiring out. standing Electric Light bonds when they shall mature, said tax so levied to be known as the Electric Light Bonds Sinking fund; the sum of $1200.00, for the purpose of maintaining the free public library of the village, said sum so levied to be known as the Public Library tex. Trustee Arscott seconded the motion to adopt the resolution and upon a vote being had said resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote, whereupon President Riddell declared the resolu- tion duly adopted. A notice of claim for damages from Frank Myers in the amount of $800.00 was presented and read, motion made by Arscott, seconded by Sherman that aid claim be laid on the table, motion carried: Trustee King presented the following resolution and moevd its adoption, viz: RESOLVED, that the village council cf the village of Grand Rapids, Itasca coun. ty, Minnesota, having duly determined and do hereby determine that the amount of benefits caused by the con. struction of a sidewalk on the east side of Houghton Avenue from Fourth street to Fifth street, in the said village of Grand Rapids, to each lot, part of lot and parcel of ground fronting said Houghton avenue, where saide sidewalk has been constructed, as aforesaid, with the names of the respective owners thereof to be in the statement follow- ing, viz: Mrs. Emma Gendron, 100 front ft, lots 13, 14, 15 and 16, block 32, Kearney’s first addition, $48.66.
