The following members answered to roll call: President Bossard, Trustees Arscott and King and Recorder Sher- man. It being the time and place set for the hearing of certain application for the sale of intoxicating liquors, said matter was declared the order of business by President Bossard. The application of P. E. Grefe & Co. was taken up, there being no objections to the issuance of license to said P. E. Grefe & Co. He received twenty-six votes on the first ballot, eleven being recorded for Lieu- tenant Colonel Frank T. Corriston, election was made unanimous on mo- tion of Colonel Corriston. The election throughout was a peaceful, good natured affair, but the selection of a successor to succeed Major Luce did not progress with the dispatch that characterized the elec- tion of a colonel.
