i WILL BE EASY TO GET CENSUS JOB Persons of Ordinary Judgment Will Have no Difficulty in Passing Enumerators’ Test. Any person of good judgment, who has received an ordinary common school education, can readily and easily pass the test to be given ap- plicants for census enumerators’ places, according to B. L. Hollister, of Aitkin, Minn., supervisor for the eighth district of the state. It has been emphatically stated that the test will be an eminently reasonable ‘and practicable one, sim- ilar to that applied to applicants at the twelfth census. It will consist of filling out a sample schedule of population from a description, in nar- rative form, of typical families; and, in the case of enumerators whose ¢wouk will be in the rural districts, they will be called upon to fill out an additional sample schedule of ag- riculture, from information furnishec by the census bureau. All persons, whether |women or men, who may desire to become cen- sus enumerators must be citizens of the United States; residents of the supervisor’s district for which they wish to be appointed, must be not less than 18 nor more than 70 years of age; must be physically able to do the work; must be trustworthy, honest and of good habits; must have at least an ordinary education and must be able to write with rea- sonable rapidity. Those who can comply with these requirements are invited to put in their applications, as there will be at least 68,000 enumerators’ places to be filled by the middle of March in pre- paration for the enumeration begin- ning April 15. | Application forms, with full in- structions for filling in, and complete information concerning the test and the method of appointment, can be secured by writing to the supervisor of census for the supervisor’s district inj which the applicant lives. All ap- plications, properly filled-in must be filed with the supervisors not later than January. 25 as any received after that date cannot be considered. The eighth district comprises the counties of Aitkin, Anoka, Carlton, Cook, Isanti, Itasca, Kanabec, Kooch- ching, Lake, Mille Lacs, Pine and St. Louis. It has been said that if all clover could be properly cured, timothy and all other hay would have to leave the market. Whether we believe this or not we all know that clover is the coming feature im the agricul- ture of Minnesota. As fast as a farm- er comes 7to more thoroughly un- derstand this wonderful plant, just so fast does he become a more pros-}| perous farmer.
