TWO DOLLARS A YEAR IN ADVANCE Entered in the Postoffice at Grand Rapid Minnesota, as Second-Class Matter, THE HERALD-REVIEW IS THE Official Paper of Itasca County. Official Paper of Village of Grand Rapids. Official Paper of Village of Cohasset. Official Paper of Village of Keewatin. Official Paper of Village of Nashwauk. Official Paper of Village of Holman. Official Paper of U.S. Dis- trict Court in Bankruptcy Proceedings. Designated by State and National Officials as the Of- ficial Paper for the publica- tion of all legal notices to be made through their re- spective offices in Itasca Co. Recognized by Everybody as the Leading Weekly Newspaper of Northeastern Minnesota. For Your Consideration. The political situation in Itasca county remains practically un- changed. and while the great amount | advertising we are carrying prohib- mention politically we wish to again call your attention to the following candidates: The se- nd district of Itasca county has a missioner that has madg an en-| able record. In Morris O’Brien, ‘of | Cohasset. we have a just and upright who for the past four years has served the county with intelligence 1nd comes befere the voters of his trict for re-election strictly upon his past record. The records of the board show him to have been an in- defatigable wo for his district od upon county measures he has in- variably been upon the right side. That he is justly popular in his district is but his due and he is sure to suc- eed himself. The present chairman of the board, Neil Mullins, has not been mixed up 2 county affairs for a great lenght of time but during the past two years %£ pas demonstrated to the voters that he isa good man and a faithful worker. His many years residence in this section and his intimate acquain- tance with the needs of the county ake him the logical candidate and voters of the Fourth district will its any extended nake no mistake when the re-elect Mr. Mullins to look after the affairs that district and the county at arge. Commissioner district number one is indeed fortunate in having a can- eminently well qualified, h by educaticn and experience, as is that genial gentleman, U.M. King, Deer River. Mr. King has served > county but about a year yet in this time, by his right stand on all questionsappertaining to the ad vance- nt and wellfare of the county. as worked his way to the front and is a power for good ion the manage- ment of the county’s affairs. He will be elected to succeed himself by a handsome majority. For the office of county treasurer expressed opinion heard on all | sides is “he’s the best ever, let’s keep | n.” ‘These words of commendation ire the outspoken opinion of a great majority of the county residents and A. A. Kremer the present treasurer y well feel proud of a record that people to so express themselves. Mr. Kremer is an expert accoubtant and we see no particular need of changing a tried public ser- vant who has made good for an un- tried one however good he may be. In the race for sheriff we believe T. T. Riley to be a winner. In his quiet gentlemanly manner, Mr. Riley lias made a thorough canvass of the county and everywhere is making w friends. The country at this time is overwhelmingly his and that he will get the nomination is a cer- tainty. His well koown business ability and strict integrity will make him a valuable offcial. ate so would cause OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF GRAND RAPIDS Grand Rogie. Minn.
