AN ORDINANCE granting to the Cohasset Hardwood Manufacturing Company. a cor- poration, exclusive permission to erect and maintain poles, wires, masts and other fix- tures in the streets. alleys, highways and public grounds of the Village of Cohasset, in the county of Itases and state of Minne- sota. for the purpose of furnishing light, heat and power by means of electricity. The village council of the Village of Cohas- set above named does ordain as follows; Section1, There is hereby granted to the Cohasset Hardwood Manufacturing company. a corporation, its successors and assigns, for a period or term of twenty (20) years after the passage of this ordinance. the exclusive right and privilege of erecting and maintaining in and along the streets. Section4. The said company may extend its lines from time to time as it may deem fit and profitable to the said company: and should it at any time in ane lngerent of the village council of the said village become oe to require any street lamp then instailed tobe changed to a new location. the said village council shail have the right to order the lamp or lamps, as the case may be, changed, and shal! pay tothe said com- pany. its successors. or assigns, reason- able charge for making such change. In the operation of such plant, the said company, its successors, aod assigns, shall save the village of Cohasset harmless from any damago or liability growing out of any construction or operation of said plant: tection 6. Company, its succes- sors or assigns, the sum of five dollars (85.00) per month for each of said seven(7) are lights to be provided or furniszed pursuant to this ordinance, and for any additional ure ‘ight provided or furnished pursuant to the pro- ns hereof, said village of Cohasset agrees to pay said com pany.its successors or assigns, the same rate per light per month during all the time such additional arc light is provided or furnished; should said village be pro- vided or furnished any incandescent lights by said company. its successors or assigns, then said village agrees to pay therefor each month at the rate of fifty (50) cents per month per light of sixteen (16) candle power for such lights provided or furbished until midnight only. and at the rate of seventy-tive (75) cents per month per light of sixteen (16) candle wer for such incandescent lights as. ma; provided or furnished said_ village all night. Further, that for any and all lights not hereinbefore mentioned. and which may be provided or furnished said village pursu- ant to the provisions hereof, said village agrees to pay monthly to said company, its successors or assigns. for each light so pro- ided or furnished, at proportionally the same rate as the rates hereinbefore fixed and determined for incandescent lights.
