All said sidewalks to be constructed of No. 2 Pine plank, surfaced on one side. said plank to be two inches thick and not less than six iaches nor more thau ten inches wide, and to be laid on stringets to be four inches by. four inches by sixteen feet, said stringers to be fastened at theends with one inch by four inch by two foot pine strips on both si said stringers with twelve nails in each strip, each plank to be naile ith eight (8) twenty penny nails. y That the streets and avenues referred to and in, on and along which sidewalks shall be constructed are as follows, to-wit: _Along the west side of Lot Seven, in Bloek Four, on the westerly line of the village ; this sidewalk to be four feet in width with two pees Jaid on three cross ties laid level to grade. On Fourth avenue along the north side of Block Five; on 1 street along the east side of Block Five, and on Third avenue long the north side of Blocks Eleven and Ten. On both sides of First street, beginning at the Great Northern right of way and running north to Fourth avenue; this sidewalk to be twelve feet in width. with four stringers, said stringers to be laid on sufficient cross ties and laid level to engineer’s grade, Resolved, that in cases, which the village council shall determine, that a sidewalk re- cently constructed is a good and sufficient sidewalk for that purpose, said sidewalk shall not be removed without the consent of the owner, but the same shall be placed upon the proper grade. Resevolved, that_any owner of _ property fronting upon said hey ee now herein ordered as aforesaid, shall‘have the right to lay such sidewalk orcause the same to be laid before the time hereinafter mentioned, provided said sidewalk shall be laid ina per manner conformably to the specifications herein mentioned and under the supervision of the village engineer, who shall have and he is hereby given the authority to condemn material offered or work tendered if in his judgment the use of the same would not bea substantial compliance with said svecifica- tions, and if so properly laid within the time hereinufter mentioned the certificate of the engineer to that effect shall be said owner's receipt for such sidewalk and no assessment therefor shall be made by said village. Resolved. that the said sidewalks be com- pleted on the 20th day of October, 1907. Resolved, that this resolution be served upon owners of lots, parts of lots and parcels of ground fronting upon the said sidewalk, as by law provided.
