——— — 1 \ WHEREAS, the village council of the village of Keewatin, Minnesota, deemsi t necessaa: and expedient that certain sidewalks be con- structed in, on and along cthe certain streets and avenues in said village hereinafter men- tioned and described, therefore be it RESOLVED, That sidewalks shall be con- structed in, en and ‘along the streets and avenues of said village hereinafter mentioned and described. in the manner hereinafter described and specified and that all said sidewalks be constructed as hereinafter speci: All said sidewalks to be constructed of No. 2 Pine plank, surfaced on one side. said plank to be twoinches thick and not less than six iaches nor more thau ten inches wide, and to be laid on stringers to be four inches by four inches by sixteen feet, said stringers to be fastened at the ends with one inch by four inch by two foot pine strips on both sides of said stringers with twelve i nails in each strip. each plank to be naile ith eight (8) twenty penny nails. y That the streets and avenues referred to and in, on and along which sidewalks shall be constructed are as follows, to-wit: Along the west side of Lot Seven, in Bloek ‘our, on the westerly line of the village; this sidewalk to be four feet in width with’ two peg Jaid on three cross ties laid level to grade. On Fourth avenue along the north side of Block Five; on Third street along the east side of Block Five, and on Third avenue along the north side of Blocks Eleven and Ten. These last said sidewalks to be eight feet wide with three stringers and laid level to gece excepting that along the north side of hird avenue from and including Lot Sixteen Block Eleven to Lot Twenty-seven in Block Ten, there shall be three sufficient cross ties laid under each stringer to bring said side- walk to level of grade and all of said cross ee to be laid upon sufficient substantial ng. both sides of First street, beginning at reat Northern right of way and running north to Fourth avenue; this sidewalk to be twelve feet in width. with four stringers, said ingers to be laid on sufficient cross ties and laid level to engineer’s grade, Resolved, that in cases, which the village council shall determine, that a sidewalk re- cently constructed isa good and sufficient sidewalk for that purpose, said sidewalk shall not be removed without the consent of the owner, but the same shall be placed upon the proper grade. Resevolved, that any owner of property fronting upon said sidewalks, now herein ordered as aforesaid, shall’have the right to lay such sidewalk orcause the same to be laid before the time hereinafter mentioned, provided said sidewalk shall be laid ina per manner conformably to the specifications herein mentioned and under the supervision of the village engineer, who shall have and he is hereby given the authority to condemn any material offered or work tendered if in his judgment the use of the same would not be a substantial compliance With said specifica- tions, and if so properly laid within the time hereinafter mentioned the certificate the engineer to that effect shall be said owher's receipt forsuch sidewalk and no assessment therefor shall be made by said village. Resolved. that the said sidewalks be com- pleted on the 20th day of October, 1907. Resolved, that this resolution be served upos: owners of lots, parts of lots and parcels of ground fronting upon the said sidewalk, as by law provided.
