Pursuant to call the bourd of county com- missioners of Itasca County, Minnesota, met at the Court House in the Village of Grand Rapids this 20th day of November, 1906, Members present: Passard, Tone and O’Brien, ‘Phe minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. It being the time set for the hearing upon the following applications for liquor licenses, the same were taken under consideration Chas. Ollila at Holman; Larson & Co, and Wm. H. Daley and John M, Jones at Bigfork; Ule Ferguson at Ball Club; Edison Bereman at Dexterville; Wm, A Hadler at Snow Ball. There being no objections filed or offered against aay of said applicants, on motion of Commissioner O’Brien, seconded by Commis: sioner Tone, all of suid applications were granted and licenses ordered issued. It being the time set for the hearing upon the application of J. H. Finley for a transf of @ certaix liquor license heretofore iss toone,Frank Larson for the sale of intoxi- eating liquors at Bigt Minnesota, the same was taken under consideration. There being no-objections filed or offered against the granting of said application,-on motion of Commissioner O’Brien, seconded by Commissioner Tone, the application | was granted and transfer of said license from said Frank Larson to said J. H. Finley was ordered issued. C. 0. C.C. MeCarthy, as attorney for the bonds- men of C. C.. Miller, ex-treasurer, came be~ fore the board and made a request that a fu.l and detailed report of the investigation of the books and records of the ex-treasurer, c.C. Miller, made by expert accountant H. M. Temple, be placed in the auditor's office for public inspection. A petition was presented for the estalis ment of a county road beginning at a point one-quarter mile south of the NW. corner of section 23, township 60, range 25 ning thence in a westerly direction a 22, crossing the section line between . and 22 about 30 rods south of the N. Commissioner ‘Tone moved that a bearing be hud upon said petition at the court house in the village of Grand Rapids on Tuesdsy the 8th day of January, 1907, at 10 o’clock a.m. and that M. O’Brien, Neil Mullins and Aad A. O'Brien, members of this board, be appointed a committee to examine the proposed loctation of said road; that said committee meet at the Mississippi River bridge in séc. 22, twp. r. 2i, on saturday the 5th day of Jab. 1 ut o'clock a, m. for the purpose.of examining the. proposed loca- tion of suid: road, and that said committe make report to-yhis board at the time hearing upon said petition. ‘The motion w seconded by Commissioner Tone ti d carri by.a unanimous vole. : "An adjournment was then taken to Wednes- day the Zist. day of Novembor, 1906. H, 15, 10 and Ul, twp. 152; r. 28, the committee consisting of Com- missioners Passard and Tone, who had been appointed to examine the proposed loeations of said road as referred to in the order of sppointnant made on the 6th day of October, 1 filed their report in which they recom— mended that the prayer of the ‘petition- ers be granted, The report of the commitiee was then considered by the board and an opportunity was given for the hearing of any protests that might be offered or damages claimed by any person by reason of the lay- ing out Of said road. There being no ¢ to the granting of said petition or dan claimed by any person by reason of the ing out of said road,- Commissioner Tone moved that the report of the committee be approved and the prayer of the petitioners be granted and that itis hereby orderd that saidhighway be established according to the committee's report. The motion was second- ed by Cominissioner O'Brien aud carried by a unanimous vote. It being the time set for the hearing upon the petition for the establishment of a high- way beginning at the se'4 of sec. 36, twp, 160, r.2. and running north and west to the northwest corner of sec. 7, twp. 160, r, 29 the committee consisting of Commis: Ss Frank S: Lang, Neil Mulins and M. O’Brien, who had been appointed to examine the roposed location of said road as referred to n the order of appointment made on the 6th day of Oct, 1906, tiled their report in which they recommended tbat the prayer of the petitioners be granted. The report of the committee was then considered by the board and an opportunity was given forthe jear- ing of any protests that might be: offered or damages claimed by any persow by on of the laying out of said road. There being no protests offered or damages claimed by any person by reason of the laying out of said road, Commissiener- O’Brien moved that the prayer of the petitioners be granted. and that itis hereby ordered that said highway be established uccording to the committee's report.. The motion was seconded by Com- missioner Tone and carried by a unanimous vote.
