Aregular meeting of the Village Council of the village of Grand Rapidsy Minn., was “called to order by President Riddell in the recorder’s office, June 13, 1904. 8 p. m. ‘The roll call was answered by President Mauddell, Trustee Becker and Recorder Gole, Trustees Rassmussen and Clair being absent. Minutes of the last three meetings were read, and on motion the word “Becker” was ordered struck out from the roll call, the ‘same being error and showing said Becker qresest, and after correction they were adopted. Under the report of officers, Recorder re- ported on examination of sidewalk petition ‘on Sleeper avenue, and after discussion the same wis laid on table. Kkecorder also reported opening of Eighth street between Hoffman and Kindred. Petition was presented for the opening of Seventh street from Leland awenue toa point, of connection with State Farm road on sec- nssion the matter was tion line, and after dis laid on table. D. Lovell agreed to lay said pipe accord- ‘to specifications, said pipe to weigh. 33 lbs, per ft., for the sum of $1916 00 After discussion the contract was awarded ) Pastoret & Luinz on account of the superior grade of pipe furnished in said bid: Petition was presented by the Itasca Paper ©o, for an extension to water main from First street, south in line with their paper mill and mermission requested from council that they be allowed to tap said main for fire protec: tion only. After discussion the matter was ‘referred to electric light and water committee with instructions to act. Mr..A. Roberts appeared before council with reference to a balance due on electric lights and water works building erected by him, und on motion said balance of $100.00 was granted, same being in full payment to said Roberts for said contract.
