Mr. McHugh is a gentleman who will grow in favor with the people as he becomes better acquainted throughout the district. He has not yet started out on his regular campaign, but it is his in- tention to visit as many of the voters of the four counties as it will be pos- teen was initiated into the mysteries of the order. An illustrated lecture was given by the organizer, Mr. Mur- phy, dwelling on ‘the history and principles of the order, which is said to be a very impressive part of the ceremony. At Monday night’s meet- ing officers will be elected and the or- ganization of the lodge completed. Organizer Murphy is well pleased with the results of his work here. He came intending to organize with twenty members, but the lodge will be started with a charter member- ship of over thirty—and of a repre- sentative class of citizens that will do credit to the order. Well officered, as it undoubtedly will be, Grand Rapids Lodge No. 271 A. O. U.
