August Jager of Minneapohs has acepted a position with Emil Litchke, the harness maker, of this place. Mr. Jager is a first-class workman which enables Litchke to turn out much more work, The Ven Archdeacon Appleby, D. D., L. bE. Lang county commis- sioner from district No. 1 came down from Koochicking the first of the week. Mr. Lang is to be an independent candidate for re elec- tion this fall, and he feels assured that he will have no trouble in win- ning out. Attorney General Douglas, Friday, withdrew the opinion expressed by his office through one of his assistants that a man who voted at the primary election was debarred from signing a petition for the nomination of any candidate for office. Mr. Dougias sent out in its stead an opinion directly oppoiste, holding that par- ticipation in the primary eléction did not prevent a man from signing a petition nominating for office.
