On motion duly made and carried the auditor was instructed to advertise for bids and proposals for the taking charge and the running of the county poor farm and boarding of the inmates thereof. It was moved and seconded that the bids and proposals for the burial of the dead and the conducting of the poor farm be received up to und including the first day of March, 1901. "The county auditor's bond in the sum of $2,000, with E. J. Farrell us principal with A. D. Powers and E A. Kremer as sureties was approved.
