Powers finds that his business requires a delivery rig in order to ac- commodate his constantly increasing trade. He has purchased a horse and sleigh and hereafter will be prepared to make prompt delivery to his cus- tomers. Henry Johnson, who is putting in about 7,000.000 feet of logs in the vicinity of Bridgie, was in town yester- day on business. He reports that his roads are in good shape and he ex- pects to get all that his firm expected at the opening of the season. Wm. Bennane pleaded guilty to re- heving George Roseman of $30 in cash before Justice Barnard on Mon- day, and is now paying the penalty by serving 6¢ days in jail. Tom Malone is also doing 60 days for attempting to steal a valice from the store ot J. D. Powers, The “moving picture” entertainment given by Prof. Blair under the aus- pices of Huson Post G. A. Stitt & Howe Logs Floating 500 Miles to Market. Messrs. Stitt & Howe, the extensive lumber operators, have just gotdown to business. The soft spell retarded operation somewhat, but the recent “stiffening” of the elements has set things a-going agaim m_ good. shape, and there will be a rusi at their camps from now until the spring break-up. Messrs.
