Henry Logan is one of our citizens who has the Cass Lake fever. He has just completed the erection of a busivess block and will open a saloon and restaurant. Anthony McAlpine and Archie Siddons have also put up a building in which they will conduct a saloon. Pursuant to law the Board of County Com- missioners met at the Auditor's office the 2d day of January. 1900, at 1 p.m. Roll call, full Board present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion duly made and carried they were adopted us read. ° Commissioner Fuller moved that Commis- sioner Rellis be elected Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of Itusca County for the ensuing year. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Everton, and upon roll call the motien was unanimously adopted. A communication was read from Hon. E. M. Pope, poblic Examiner. in. which w stated the condition of the county offices and action of officers as reported by deputy state examiner, together with insiractions for the procedure of said officers for the com~ ing year. The conmunication was received and ordered placed on file. : Applications were read from George C. Gilbert. M. D., Charles M. Storch, M. D., and Thomas Russell, M, D.. asking that they be appointed county physician for the year qwou. The applications were received “and laid upon the table. A communication was read from C. B.
