VOTE ON YOUNGSTOWN STEEL DOOR PLAN DUE By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, August 16.—A special meeting of the stockholders of Youngs- town Steel Door Co. has been called for September 10 to vote on a pro- posal to increase the number of author- ized common shares and split the stock. It is proposed to increase the author- {zed no-par common from 400,000 to 800,000, splitting the present outstand- ing stock on a two-for-one basis. INSURANCE STOCKS RISE NEW YORK, August 16 (®).— The average price of 20 insurance company stocks as of August 13 was 27.77, compared with 27.39 for Au- gust 6, a net increase of .38, accord- ing to Allen & Co.
