Maryland Gas Receipts Gain. Gross receipts from the 4 cents per | gallon gasoline tax in Maryland in the first seven months of 1937 totaled | 971, an increase of $726.183 over ,021.788 collected in the same period of the preceding year, accord- ing to State Controller William 8. Gordy, jr. Receipts for July were $£979.653, against $870,833 in July, 1938. The State of Maryland will receive bids tomorrow on an offering of $3,408,000 2% per cent general con- struction bonds.
