Body burns received Christmas morning, when his bed is believed to have caught fire from a cigarette, resulted yesterday in the death of Nicholas Drnning, 30, & roomer at 423 Third street. He died in Emer- gency Hospital, where he had been confined since the accident. Denning and James E. McCall, 26, also of the Third street address, were asleep in the same bed, police said, when the fire was discovered. Their flaming clothes and the bed clothing were extinguished by other roomers. Funeral services for Harry Miles Keyser, 45, manager of the claims department of the Capital Transit Co., are being held today in the Co- lumbia Baptist Church, Falls Church, Va. Burial will be in Oakwood Cem- etery, Falls Church. Mr. Keyser, who died Saturday night in the Episcopal Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, served many years with the street railway system here. Beginning as a stenographer with the old Washington Railway & Elec- tric Co. in 1911, he became assistant secretary of the latter company, then secretary, assistant counsel and as- sistant treasurer. In 1932 he was named secretary and counsel of the W. R. & E., continuing until the merger in 1933 of the Washington Railway & Electric Co. with the Capi- tal Traction Co. to form the Capital D. C, Transit Co. He went with the newly formed company as manager of the claims department. At various times in his career he served as vice president of the Glen Echo Park Co., attorney for the Wash- ington Rapid Transit Co. and as di- rector of the Munsey Trust Co., the Washington Coach Co. and the Se- curity Finance Corp. Mr. Keyser lived in Falls Church and was corporation counsel for the town. He was a member of the Vir- ginia and American Bar Associations. He was a thirty-second degree Mason. Surviving are his widow, formerly Miss Hattie Almeda Tuckerman, to whom he was married in 1915; a daughter, Dorothy T. Keyser, and son, Willam M. HEART ATTACK FATAL TO WIDOW OF DOCTOR Mrs. Elizabeth Vineberg, 67, widow of Dr. Archibald Vineberg, died of & heart attack Sunday night at the home of her daughter; Mrs. Seymour Levy, 4414 Georgia avenue. Mrs. Vineberg, who lived here 25 years, was born in Norfolk, Va, in 1870. Her husband died in 1917. Surviving her are two sons, Rae and Leonard Vineberg; another daughter, Mrs. Louis Colman, and two sisters, Miss Sally Vineberg of Athens, Ga., and Mrs. Fannie Abrams, Nor- folk, Va. Funeral services were scheduled at the Geier's chapel at 2-.p.m. today. Burial was to be in Washington He- brew Congregation Cemetery.
