B—6 . THE EVENING STAR, WASHINGTON, D. -C., SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 1936. NEW WINDOWS TO BE DEDICATED AT ST. Memorlals Represent Bible Figures Rev. William Moody " Will Officiate at Serv- ices Tomorrow. Trmm new stained glass windows, recently installed in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, will be dedicated by the rector, Rev. Willlam Moody, at the 11\ o'clock service tomorrow. These windows, made of English and German glass, form a notable addi- tion to this church, already nationally noted for its wealth of stained glass. Representing King David, St. Chris- topher and Moses, these windows— which are in the clerestory of the church—are to be dedicated, respec- tively, to the memory of David Meade Lea, Willlam Billings Trott and Arti- mesia, Margaret and Alice Bean. David Meade Lea, in whose memory the David window is given, died in 1932. He was prominent in business and civic affairs in Washington for many years. He was, at the time of his death, senior warden of this church and for 35 years sang in the choir. The window is given by his widow, the former Georgia Clever of Lebanon, Ky, whom he married in 1896 and who survives him. She is prominent in church and social af- fairs in Washington. The St. Christopher window is given by his friends in memory of William Billings Trott, former or- ganist and choirmaster, who died March 7, 1934, at the age of 93 years. He was born in New England and served as organist and choirmaster in the cathedrals in Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio, for many years. Coming to Washington in 1898, he became the organist and choirmaster at St. Mark’s, then the pro-cathedral of Washington, and served 10 years. He retired from active service, but to his death assisted with the music in the parish, taking complete charge of the Sunday school and Summer choirs. He played for a complete service two days before his death. The Moses window is given in memory of the Bean family by Mrs. Alice Bean, who made provision for the memorial in her will.
