Reorganization and enlargement of the public relations staff of the Asso- ciation of American Railroads, with s view to bringing about a better public understanding and appreciation of the progress and achievements of the railroads, was announced today by J. J. Pelley, association president. ‘This follows the recent approval by the association of a comprehensive public relations program involving magazine and newspaper advertising and other promotion work. Robert S. Henry, assistant to Mr. Pelley, will have general charge of the pew program. Holcombe Parkes, former advertising manager for the Norfolk & Western Railway, Roanoke, Va., will be his assistant. | The association organization has been divided into four sections to be ‘ headed as follows: William E. Hall, former publicity | tepresentative of the association, ap- pointed manager of the information section; H. F.
