B—18 751 WOMEN GIVEN TUBERCULOSIS TEST| « Number Is Examined in mm‘ Two Days of Health De- partment Drive. Seven hundred and fifty-one women were given tuberculosis examinations in the first two days of the X-ray| campaign being conducted by the Health Department, the Medical | ciety and the Tuberculosis Associa- | tion, is was announced yesterday. The free examinations are being held at Central High School under direction of the Powers Co., which is to have the first day's films developed and ready for interpretation by the end of the week. In all, 13,160 persons have regis- tered for the tests, the number being 8,160 in excess of the registration maximum originally set by the Health ° Department. Persons wishing an examination are urged to file their applications, however, as several last- minute withdrawals are expected. Examination of colored applicants will begin next week in the Garnett- | Patterson Junior High School, Tenth and U streets on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional examina- tion headquarters are to be announced in the near future for the southwest area of the city. Modern Streets.
