FIN SECONDARY RAIL BONDS GO DOWN Other Sections of MarketI Remain Steady in Slow Session. By the Associated Press. . NEW YORK, July 20.—Virtually the only trend discernible in the bond market today was a downward move- ment in second-grade rails. Other parts of the list were steady with trading at low ebb. In yielding further ground, the rails rounded out a week of highly erratic price movements, featured by heaviness in the more recent ses- sions. The selling movement also af- fected a few of the semi-speculative utility ratings. Losses ranged to around a point in loans of Baltimore & Ohio, St. Paul, American & Foreign Power, Great Northern, Missouri Pacific, Northern Pacific, Frisco, Postal Telegraph and Southern Railway. A couple of carrier loans escaped the pressure and were able to record small gains. In this group were Nickel Plate 4!»s and New York Central 5s. Other minor gainers in-| cluded Western Union 5s, Pacific Gas & Eliectric 55 and International Tele- | phone 5s. U. S.
