Barbour Baldwin, 45, of Browntown, Warren anunty. who died yesterday, will be held tomorrow afternoon. She is survived by three brothers and two sisters, H. H. Marlowe, Front Royal; Jasper Marlowe, New York City; and Guy Marlowe, Mrs. Urie of Washington. Miss Alice May of Washington is a half sister. Her father, J. K. JESSIE FISHER DIES AT HOSPITAL Native of Capital Victim of Long Illness—Rites to Be Wednesday. Mrs. Jessic N. Fisher, wife of Gea. Henry C. Fisher, U. 8. A, retired, former chief health officer of the Panama Canal Zone, died yesterday at Walter Reed Hospital after a long illness. Born in Washington August 15, 1867, Mrs. Fisher was a graduate of Central High School with the class of 1886. Marrying Gen. Fisher in June. 1892, when he was an assistant surgeon in the Army, she first went with him to Fort Yates, on the Sjoux | Indian Reservation in North Dakota. The last seven years of the general's service before his retirement in 1931 were in the District and they had made their home on the Arlington Ridge road, in nearby Virginia, ever since. MGAWLEY EXPIRES SUDDENLY Retired Marine Corps Offi- cer Saw Service in Three Wars. Brig. Gen. Charles L. McCawley, U. 8. M. C, retired, quartermaster general of the Marine Corp from 1916 to 1929, died early this morning at his home, 1610 New Hampshire avenue, of heart failure. Born in Boston, Mass., August 24, 1865, he was the son of Col. Com- mandant of the Marine Corps Charles G. McCawley and Elizabeth M. Mc- Cawley. He served his father as chief clerk from 1891 to 1897, when he was appointed a captain in the service and sent to Cuba. He was a graduate of Columbian College, now George Washington Uni- versity, receiving the degree of L. L. B. in 1893. A veteran of the World War, the Spanish-Ameriaan War and the Phil- | ippine insurrection, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, the | Victory Medal, the West Indian Medal, and several campaign decora- tions. He was made a major by brevet in the Spanish-American War. In 1913 he was appointed to the office of the quartermaster. Gen. McCawley was 2 member of the Metropolitan, the Chevy Chase, the Army and Navy and the Alibi Clubs here; the Knickerbocker Club of New York; University Club, Phila- delphia, the Aztec Club and the Loyal Legion.
