Cummings entertained at a dinner last evening in their home, Ruthven, in honor of the Governor General of the Philippines, Mr. Frank Murphy. The guests numbered 14. The out-of-town guests were Mr. H. G. Wells, famous British writer; Mr. George Creel of San Francisco, Mr. and_Mrs. Anthony J. Drexel Biddle of Philadelphia, and Mr. Norman Hill, assistant to the governor general.
