FIN CURB IRREGULAR IN CLOSING HOUR Realizing Follows Advance, but Late Rally Wipes Out Losses. Special Dispatch to The Star. NEW YORK, July 7.—The Curb Ex- | change went through a series of excited fluctuations today, alternately rising | and reacting, and closed irregularly. Realizing sales were encountered fol- lowing the brisk advance in many | groups during the first two hcurs, but | the losses were never large for the iead- ers and a rally in the last half hour closed the list' above the lows of the day, though still under the best levels. The utilities were laggards throughout | the sessicn, while many oils, metals, rajls, air shares, internationals and mis- cellaneous industrials were bid up v,o‘ new highs for the bull movement. | Electric Bond & Share was down more | than a point at one time, but rallied | near the close. Cities Service was off a | small fraction most of the day. (Copyright, 1933.) BONDS ON THE CURB MARKET. Bales in DOMESTIC BONDS. thousands. INDUSTRY Mercantile Review Says Bus- iness Is on Upgrade in Many Lines. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, July 7.—The past week‘i was marked by further sharp gains in | many lines of industry and trade, said the Dun & Bradstreet Review today. | “It is no longer an opinion,” asserted | the agency, “that business is on the up- |~ grade; it is a fact. The complete re-| versal of trade trends during the first six months of the current year, with the ! precipitous and unprecedented climb of | roductive and distributive totals, has | P!fl even leaders of industry mystified. | “In addition, orders are being re-, | cetved from unexpected sources, and | many for amounts unequaled in years, | while unemployment is being reduced | each week and is accompanied by the encouraging announcements of more firms granting pay increases.” Btock and Bale— Bales High.
