Chinese reports reaching here today said a band of buccaneers attacked the Chinese steamer Taichow off the Chekiang coast Friday night, killed one girl passenger and two ship guards, wounded five persons, kidnaped two| 3 others and looted the ship. Another daring act of piracy was re- ported Saturday when the Japanese steamer Hoshun Maru reached Dairen. Passengers said pirates looted the ship, robbed 1,000 Chinese refugees from the Sino-Japanese war zone and used the | 3 Vessel to prey on smaller craft. Fourteen Chinese seized the Nor- wegian steamer Prominent Thursday, wounded the captain in a fight and held other officers prisoners. Police quoted the prisoner as saying the young woman seized a butcher knife during the quarrel and slashed him.
