Mrs, Loula Brown Campbell, 70, wife of former Chief Justice Edward K, Campbell of the Court of Claims, djed last night at her residence in the | Dresden Apartments after an fllness of about six months. Born in Sumterville, Als., she was married to Judge Campbell at Bir- mingham in 1888. They came to ‘Washington when he was appointed to the Court of Claims by President Wil- son in 1913 and had lived here ever since, Mrs. Campbell was prominent in ‘Washington society and took an active rt in the aff of the Women's mocratic Club. Judge Campbell retired from the Court of Claims about five years ago. He is a member of the Metropolitan, Chevy Chase and Cosmos Clubs. Besides her husband, Mrs. Campbell is gayvived by two daughters, Mrs. John Lewis Underwood of Birmingham, A, and Miss Jean Campbell of W :shington, and a sister, Mrs. Conrad Ol'me of Birmingham. Harvey, Veteran Court Reporter, to Be Paid Final Tribute in Chevy Chase. Funeral services for Thomas M. Harvey, 63, veteran court reporter for The Evening Star, who died yesterday at his apartment at 4700 Connecticut avenue, will be held at the Blessed Sac- rament Catholic Church in Chevy Chase tomorrow at 10 am. Burial will be in Mount_Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Harvey had covered District Su- preme Court and the Court of Appeals for The Star for nearly 40 years, and was one of the best known figures in ‘Washington’s legal circles. Born in Washington August 31, 1869, he received his elementary education in the public schools and was a member of the centennial class of Georgetown Uni- versity. He joined The Star's editorial staff in January, 1894. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Kathar- ine B. Harvey; three daughters, Miss Katharine Maurita Harvev, Mrs. Carl J. DR. HENRY MUNROE’S WIDOW SUCCUMBS Made Home in Capital When Hus- band Was Consulting Engineer With Bureau of Mines. Mrs. Alice Brown Munroe, 76, widow of Dr. Henry Smith Munroe, who died May 4 at Litchfield, Conn., died yester- day at her home in the Connecticut city, according to an Assoclated Press dispatch. Mrs. Munroe had lived in Litchfield and Washington for 45 years. She re- sided at 2540 Massachusetts avenue when her Lusband was a consulting en- eer with the Bureau of Mines in 917. She was a member of the Colo- nial Dames. Dr. Munroe, s well known and mining engineer, was professor of mining and a member of the council of Columbia University from 1891 to 1915. He had suffered a stroke while visiting here last March. Mrs. Munroe is survived by s daugh- ter, Mrs. Eleanor M. Green, and a son, Robert K. Munroe. Class to Sponsor Dance.
