The new bulkhead will be approxi- mately 800 feet long, running along the shore of Bay avenue from First to Third streets, and will average one-foot higher than the present sea wall, which had been badly damaged by heavy seas dur- ing the past year. It was announced that the street will be 8 feet wider than at present under the new plans. A substantial guard rail will extend the full length of the bulkhead for safety, while concrete steps leading to the water will be constructed at each intersecting street for the convenience of bathers. Bray, jr., counsel for the town, for his efforts in bringing about the improve- ments, while a resolution was adopted commending State Senator Joseph C.
